PHOENIX—SWCA Environmental Consultants has promoted Michael Crow to cultural resources program director for the Houston operation. He manages client relationships and projects, develops new business, and mentors cultural resource program staff.
Crow has more than 11 years of project experience involving cultural resource surveys and assessments, paleontological excavations, wetland delineations, archaeological site mapping, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and threatened and endangered species in several states throughout the Southeast. He joined SWCA in 2006.
“Mike has successfully led, and grown, our cultural resources activities and developed a program that has generated more than $2 million annually over the past several years,” said Houston Principal Brian Fairchild. “We’re excited to formalize the Houston-based Cultural Resource Program, which includes historic preservation services, diversification of the program, and overall business expansion.”
Crow holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in anthropology from Texas A&M University and is a registered professional archaeologist. He is a member of the Society for American Archaeology, Texas Archaeological Society, and Council of Texas Archaeologists.
