Preserving History at SWCA

HOUSTON, TX -- Apr. 23, 2007 -- Anna Mod has joined the Houston office of SWCA Environmental Consultants as their new Cultural Resource Specialist. Active professionally in historic preservation since 1993, Ms. Mod works with municipalities, community and neighborhood organizations, individuals, architects and developers to encourage and support the rehabilitation of historic buildings. As an investment tax credit expert, she has facilitated tax incentives of more than $10M for individuals involved in the rehabilitation of historic buildings. Ms. Mod is a visiting associate professor at Prairie View A&M College of Architecture and a lecturer at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture, University of Houston. Her projects have won two awards from AIA-Houston, a Preservation Texas award, and seven Good Brick Awards from the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance. Ms. Mod is published in Texas Architect and Cite magazines. In her new position with SWCA, she will continue providing historic preservation services locally and will work to expand her services at the state and nationwide level.
