Overview:
SWCA was selected by the Environmental Affairs Division of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to conduct impact evaluations and archaeological surveys for bridge replacement and linear road improvement projects throughout four districts of South Texas.
Services Provided:
- Performed 70 individual impact evaluations or archaeological surveys under 46 separate work authorizations
- Produced interim reports for each impact evaluation of survey, in coordination with the Texas Historical Commission
Results:
TxDOT awarded this contract to SWCA after determining that our rates, experience, and ability to respond to work authorizations in a timely manner were superior in comparison to numerous competitors. The client expressed gratitude for SWCA’s hard work and cost-effective services, which allowed TxDOT to complete additional projects that were not initially planned. In addition, SWCA’s final report of the investigations drew praise from TxDOT reviewers for its originality and contribution.
