Overview:
The Tooele Valley is a rapidly growing area approximately 30 miles East of Salt Lake City. Its close proximity to a major metropolitan area, coupled with its rural feel, has drawn numerous families to the area looking for a more relaxed lifestyle. Recognizing this, the communities in the Tooele Valley decided to engage in a proactive process to create a shared long-term vision of how and where they want to accommodate growth. SWCA was hired to create an alternative growth scenario to the existing pattern, sensitive to residential growth, economics, wildlife corridors, water constraints, recreation opportunities and community identity.
