Overview:

PacifiCorp energy producers retained SWCA for assistance in meeting the mitigation requirements for withdrawing the Cove Hydroelectric facility from active service.

Services Provided:

• Completed documentation to the standards of the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) program, Level II

Results:

This project illuminates SWCA’s ability to make rapid adjustments for our clients. At the beginning of the project, the client did not anticipate agency consultation and coordination requirements. As a result, SWCA increased their level of involvement and lead the coordination between the client and the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office, the National Park Service, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. These additional efforts were accomplished within the existing project budget and helped the client meet the requirements of relevant agencies without significant project delays.
