Overview:

SWCA was contracted by Enterprise Products to provide environmental survey and permitting assistance for the conversion of an existing oil and product pipeline system to a natural gas system.

Services Provided:

• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 and Section 10 permitting
• Endangered species survey
• Cultural resources survey
• Hydrostatic test water and stormwater discharge permitting

Results:

SWCA assisted Enterprise Products with environmental surveys and permitting, including obtaining a Corps of Engineers permit to directionally drill a pipeline segment under the Houston ship channel. Other tasks included obtaining confirmation from the Corps documenting lack of Corps jurisdiction in isolated wetlands along the project. This saved the client untold months in construction delays while waiting on permits.
