Overview:

SWCA was retained by Alpine County to prepare an EIR for the Bear Valley Village project located in the ski town of Bear Valley, California in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The client is proposing a General Plan Amendment and zoning change to develop a new 19-acre pedestrian village and related infrastructure in the of Bear Valley, to be named Bear Valley Village. Changes in snowmobile circulation, parking, and staging within the Village are unique issues that will be evaluated in the EIR. The project also includes construction of a new high speed chair lift from the Village to the Bear Valley Mountain Resort ski area.
