Overview:

SWCA was retained by Yuba County Community Development Department to prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the proposed Feather Creek Specific Plan. The project involves an amendment to the Yuba County General Plan to establish the Feather Creek Specific Plan area. Within the plan area, the project includes construction of approximately 2,500 residential units, commercial and office uses, two elementary schools, and several parks on 700 acres of agricultural land south of Marysville. A portion of the plan area would be preserved as open space, including a natural drainage (Best Slough), wetlands, and riparian habitat. 2008.
