Southern Avra Valley Storage and Recovery Project

Overview:
 
Tucson Water, which supplies water for the City of Tucson in Arizona, is currently constructing the Southern Valley Storage and Recovery Project (SAVSARP) in order to meet current and future water demands of its service area, which is rapidly expanding. SAVSARP will be permitted by SWCA and will include 200 to 400 acres of recharge basins, 20 to 40 recovery wells, a reservoir-booster station, and more than 25 miles of pipelines on the approximately 100-foot-wide x 8.5-mile-long pipeline corridor.
 
Services Provided:
  • NEPA compliance and supporting documentation
  • Field surveys of native plants, federally listed species, and potentially jurisdictional waters of the U.S.
  • Preparation of a mitigation plan for impacts to Pima County Regulated Riparian Habitat
