Rockies Expansion Pipeline Construction
Bannock County, Idaho
Overview:
SWCA assisted the Williams/Transco Pipeline Company with its NHPA Section 106 cultural resources compliance needs by conducting Class III inventory and archaeological site testing along five pipeline loops in southwest Wyoming and southeast Idaho.
Services Provided:
- Conducted historic and archival file searches
- Performed an inventory of the pipeline corridor, access roads, route realignments, staging and pipe storage areas and extra work spaces
- Tested prehistoric archaeological sites for National Register significance and project effect
- Performed site recordation and delineation of sensitive areas
- Prepared GPS and project documentation
Results:
This project demonstrated SWCA’s ability to mobilize a large group of cultural resource professionals to help our client meet their objectives. All findings were compiled and analyzed, and reports were submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
