Upper Snake River Wildland Fire Management Plan

Overview:
The Upper Snake River District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) selected SWCA to prepare a programmatic environmental impact statement (PEIS) analyzing the impacts of amending 12 land use plans with specific management direction for fire, fuels and related vegetation.
Services Provided:
- Evaluated changes in the ecosystem and determined a course of action to bring the ecosystems into balance
- Evaluated public safety, protection of property and communities-at-risk issues
- Developed a Public Involvement Plan (PIP) which included strategies for coordinating with federal, state and local agencies as well as private groups
