SWCA has one of the largest private cultural resource management (CRM) programs in the country. This enables our clients to draw upon a diverse and experienced staff who can guide them through CRM mandates such as the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). With a large number of archaeologists on staff, we can perform excavation services for projects of any size.

Our historic services include historical and architectural significance evaluations, visual resource analysis, historic context development, archival and repository research, determinations of National Register eligibility and HABS/HAER documentation. In addition, we provide
tribal consultation services and have close relationships with the
Hopi and Navajo Nations.

We use a variety of technologies in our CRM projects, including GPS/GIS recordation and mapping and geophysical techniques such as remote sensing. Our knowledge and use of technology and the educational diversity of our technical specialists allow SWCA to offer expertise in a wide array of CRM projects. All of SWCA's CRM services support NHPA activities, plus NAGPRA, AIRFA and state requirements such as CEQA.
