SWCA has been in the business of natural resource management for more than 25 years. We specialize in all areas of natural resource management, including surveys, biological assessments, permitting, mitigation and planning. Our natural resources staff has extensive knowledge of environmental compliance regulations and can guide clients through legislation such as Sections 404 and 402 of the Clean Water Act; Sections 7 and 10 of the Endangered Species Act; and all components of NEPA, particularly environmental assessments (EAs), environmental impact statements (EISs) and comprehensive NEPA training. With services that focus on wetlands, vegetation, fisheries, wildlife and water resources, our work extends to both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. In conjunction with GIS technology, we use satellite image processing and classification to determine vegetation types for a variety of projects, such as upland habitat enhancement and restoration. The use of such technology helps us maximize our efficiency in each project.
