Endangered Species Act (ESA)
This legislation was put in place to protect various animal and plant species that are federally listed as threatened or endangered. The Act also extends to the habitats of such species. As a result, any individual or group planning to engage in activities that could negatively impact threatened or endangered species must apply for a permit to perform the activity in question. The professionals at SWCA have the expertise to assist clients in understanding and completing the many processes involved in obtaining an ESA permit.
