National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
The purpose of this Act is to “encourage productive and enjoyable harmony between man and his environment.” NEPA requires all federal agencies to give consideration to environmental resources when making decisions about actions that may affect the environment. In addition, agencies are required to develop alternatives to their proposed actions. Comprehensive documentation is necessary for these requirements to be fulfilled. SWCA staff understands the NEPA compliance process and can assist clients with the preparation and submission of permit applications. NEPA activities are supported by SWCA's comprehensive environmental services.
