National Historic Preservation Act
Sections 106 and 110 of the NHPA are review processes that stem from public concern regarding historic preservation. This legislation requires federal agencies to evaluate the impact of federally funded projects on entities of historic significance, including structures, sites, districts, objects and data. With several experienced historians on staff, SWCA can identify historically significant entities and develop solutions for their preservation. In addition to making recommendations for the National Register of Historic Places, SWCA’s knowledgeable staff can provide communities with extensive education about their historic treasures.
