Lorien Walsh joins SWCA as the new Director of Communications and Creative Services. In this role, Lorien will provide leadership, develop strategies, and foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders to further SWCA’s brand and position in the industry.
Lorien brings more than 20 years of strategic communication planning, brand management, campaign development, and program management experience to this position. She has a diverse background, including work in international development consulting, the water sector, the cold chain industry, education, and journalism.
Lorien comes to SWCA from an international development consulting company, Chemonics, where she managed the implementation of the firm’s content strategy across an array of technical sectors and communication channels. Prior to Chemonics, she worked in the water sector, directing public outreach programs for the Water Environment Federation and then working with the Public Affairs team at a progressive wastewater utility in Oregon.
“Working within the water sector, I developed a deep appreciation for the challenge of balancing society’s needs with those of the environment. I love that SWCA operates at that nexus and look forward to supporting the team to tell those stories,” said Lorien.
