Wildfire planning crosses multiple jurisdictions and touches many communities. SWCA facilitates a process that is community driven, working to ensure all participants and ideas are heard during the planning process.

Using a variety of tools and outreach approaches, we work to meet stakeholders in their communities and learn about their values. Our stakeholder engagement practices are built on establishing trust, strong relationships, and clear communication. We translate wildfire science across cultures and technical disciplines.

We ensure a project’s success by providing multi-stakeholder facilitation and designing approaches to inform citizens about wildfire behavior, actions to reduce risk to life and property, fire response capabilities, and projects needed to support communities as they prepare for wildfires. We pay attention to and manage dynamics that others may overlook because we know that attention to detail matters.
