New Twin Cities office reinforces SWCA’s commitment to Minnesota and Great Lakes growth.
SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA), a 100% employee-owned firm, has expanded its presence with a new office in Minneapolis–Saint Paul. This strategic move enhances SWCA’s ability to serve clients in Minnesota and the Great Lakes region while attracting top-tier talent.
“SWCA has been helping public and private clients navigate environmental challenges in Minnesota for over 15 years,” said Sarah Sappington, vice president of the Rocky Mountain Plains region at SWCA. “With our established expertise and local knowledge, this new office is an exciting step forward to support our existing projects, strengthen client relationships, and build on the impactful work we’re already doing in the state.”
The new office is located in the vibrant Saint Anthony Park neighborhood, offering convenient access to both Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The location is also within walking distance of a light rail station, restaurants, and breweries.
SWCA’s team of specialists provide expertise in wetlands, cultural resources, habitat restoration, and environmental planning and permitting, guiding clients through complex environmental challenges. In Minnesota, SWCA serves industries such as transmission, generation, transportation, and mining, addressing issues like water quality, invasive species, land development impacts, wetland and habitat degradation, threatened species, and coastal resiliency along the Great Lakes.
SWCA is experiencing significant growth in the Great Lakes region, celebrating 10 years of its Chicago office and opening a New Buffalo, Michigan, office in 2024. With the addition of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul office, SWCA now boasts more than 1,700 employees across 45 offices nationwide and in Mexico.
