Creating a Culture of Caring
For more than a decade, SWCA’s award-winning Gives Back program has grown to reach every community where we live, work, and play. Each year our employees participate in an array of charitable service projects. We volunteer our time and professional expertise, raise funds for worthy causes, and donate everything from food and holiday gifts for families in need, to school supplies for disadvantaged kids, and personal care items for shelter residents. Most of these activities are grassroots efforts that take place at the office level.
SWCA also offers employees Gives Back Hours, an annual benefit that gives employees paid time to use toward volunteer events, such as donating blood or participating in STEM activities. Employees can also take the opportunity to donate to charitable organizations in lieu of receiving service awards and holiday gifts.

"Volunteering on a Gives Back project is such a great way to connect with team members you don't see often, have a lot fun, and support a good cause in the process. What a cool way to spend a work day!"
“Being part of the Gives Back Committee has given me a firsthand look at the real difference SWCA makes in our communities, and having the opportunity to use Gives Back hours for causes I care about has motivated me to get even more involved locally. I'm continually inspired by how passionately SWCA employees step up for their communities every day - it's a powerful reminder of the positive change we're able to create together.”
“I joined SWCA in 2019 and it has been so refreshing to be a part of a company that can only be described as bigger than that. It’s a community where we encounter our people living our values whether it’s during an employee going through something in their personal life, something challenging at work, or simply participating in a Gives Back event. We are a community and it’s felt.”
"I appreciate the opportunity to give back to our communities and be a part of something bigger than our day-to-day work. Having been a Local Office Champion in the Denver office and now sitting on the Gives Back Committee, I can see the impact this program has on our neighborhoods and our personal well-being."
At SWCA, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play in a meaningful way. Our employee-owners are proud to support hundreds of local organizations each year by raising funds in company-wide and office campaigns, sharing our expertise through the Spreading the Science program, and volunteering our time towards a great cause.
