2022 Breaks SWCA Gives Back Record
At SWCA, Giving Back allows us to support the places where we live and work by donating to organizations and participating in an array of community service projects. Providing staff with paid volunteer hours, matching grants for office volunteer events and donations, and organizing annual company-wide fundraising events all foster a company-wide culture of giving.
In 2022, that spirit of giving was stronger than ever, setting records for the number of employee hours volunteered, the number of Gives Back volunteer events across the country, and the largest total impact in company history.
Our offices organized 114 local Gives Back events to support food banks, animal shelters, blood drives, clean-up events, walks for cancer, book collections, holiday fundraisers, and more. Our experts held Spreading the Science events with guided wildlife and nature walks, Science in the Park Days, archaeology events, classroom activities, and presentations. SWCA employees participated in a companywide silent auction, the Fun(ds) for Food campaign, to support U.S. food security. And, when disaster struck, we rallied to raise funds for those impacted by the devastating Marshall Fire in Colorado, Hurricane Ian, and Hurricane Fiona.
Together, SWCA employees volunteered a total of 1,686 hours at office events with participation from every office and made donations to 152 local and nationwide nonprofit organizations. Employee donations and company giving totaled $163,372—over $56,000 more than last year.
