Amanda Childs Promoted to Vice President | Pacific Northwest
Amanda Childs has been promoted to Vice President of the Pacific Northwest subregion. In this role, Amanda will lead the Pacific Northwest subregion’s strategy, managing financial performance, client development, staff, and technical quality across offices in Oregon and Montana, while driving cross-collaboration to achieve SWCA’s regional goals.
With 25 years of experience in the field, Amanda began her career at SWCA in 2004 as a temporary employee helping format the Snake River Fire Plan, then joined full time as one of the first employees in our Vernal, Utah office where she learned the ins and outs of NEPA.
A self-proclaimed NEPA nerd, Amanda’s favorite projects are those where she is part of a focused, motivated, and supportive team. Recently, she has enjoyed that dynamic on intense comment analysis projects, the 17(d)(1) EIS for BLM in Alaska, and the Hawaii Volcanoes Disaster Recovery Project for the National Park Service.
In her recent role as Senior Director, she managed a multidisciplinary team that works across Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and beyond. Amanda is currently guiding teams in several capture plans, including one for Alaska and one for Idaho, which focus on growing our presence and capturing new work in those states.
