SWCA Elevates Several Team Members to Senior Director Roles

Due to a record-breaking year of business growth in 2022, SWCA Environmental Consultants is announcing several key leadership promotions to senior directors. SWCA’s revenue grew nearly 30% in 2022, and the company expanded through acquisition and organic growth in new and existing geographies.

Paige Marchus, Senior Natural Resources Director – New Mexico/Four Corners

Paige Marchus leads Natural Resources and Planning services for SWCA’s New Mexico-Four Corners subregion, which includes offices in Albuquerque and Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Durango, Colorado. Marchus has more than 15 years of experience in complex project management for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) planning, infrastructure development, resource and land use management planning, and client development in the oil and gas, transmission, federal, and generation business lines.

Scott Phillips, Senior Cultural Resources Technical Director

Scott Phillips leads SWCA’s Cultural Resources Technical Practice nationally. Phillips began his career in cultural resources management more than 30 years ago. Since joining SWCA in 2001, he has developed and delivered tribal relations, heritage preservation, and archaeological and historic resources management services across private and public sectors.

Erica Gaddis, Senior Natural Resources Technical Director – Water Resources

Erica Gaddis leads SWCA’s Water Resources Technical Practice nationally. With more than 20 years of experience, Gaddis has an extensive background in water policy and quality for state and industry clients. She is a champion and advocate for water resources professionals across the company and develops strategies to elevate the quality of water resources services to clients.

Matt Petersen, Senior Planning Technical Director

Matt Petersen leads SWCA’s Planning Technical Practice nationally. Petersen has 30 years of experience as a NEPA and land use planning specialist and has managed, provided NEPA oversight, or facilitated alternatives development for more than 40 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental impact statements and 15 federal land use management plan revisions. Petersen also develops and teaches NEPA courses for federal agencies, industry professionals, and universities.

Amanda Glen, Senior Natural Resources Technical Director

Amanda Glen leads SWCA’s Biology Technical Practice nationally. With more than 25 years of experience, Glen specializes in the Endangered Species Act and provides guidance on permitting and compliance for matters involving protected wildlife, plants, and habitats. She is a frequent presenter at regional and national conferences on subjects related to the Endangered Species Act, including new listings, regulatory and policy changes, and trends in compliance strategies.
