Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls Press

The Hayden Lake Watershed Improvement District has engaged SWCA Environmental Consultants to address the increasing frequency and duration of harmful algal blooms (HABs) in Hayden Lake. Supported by a Department of Environmental Quality grant, SWCA and EutroPHIX will evaluate water quality and sediment data to develop nutrient management and restoration strategies, focusing on reducing phosphorus from Hayden Creek.
