Lee County Community Wildfire Protection Plan

SWCA is addressing wildfire hazards in Southwest Florida, which have increased following rapid population growth, hurricanes, and invasive species establishment. SWCA is developing a CWPP to assess countywide wildfire risks and establish consistent response, mitigation, and preparedness strategies. The CWPP fulfills Healthy Forests Restoration Act requirements, enabling Lee County to pursue federal funding for wildfire management. SWCA is collaborating with county staff and stakeholders to evaluate risks, create mitigation plans, and identify grant funding opportunities.
