Sustainability Climate Risk Assessment and Financial Impact Analysis for Sustainable Business Resilience

The SWCA SMC team supported a global consumer products organization in identifying and evaluating sustainability-related risks to their business operations. Our team conducted a comprehensive assessment to identify and evaluate potential risks based on their consequence and probability, taking into account any existing mitigation actions. We forecasted the potential impact of each identified risk, then translated into economic consequences for the organization using Return On Sustainability Investment techniques. This approach allowed us to monetize the effects on business sustainability and resilience in the absence of additional mitigation, highlighting the “consequences of inaction.” By providing a clear financial perspective on business sustainability and resilience risks, our work enabled the client to make informed decisions about priorities and further investment initiatives to ensure long-term business continuity and success.
