Alyson serves as Vice President of SWCA’s Great Basin subregion, where she leads the strategic direction and operational success across Nevada, the Great Plains, and the broader western U.S. With more than 20 years of experience in natural resources and environmental science, Alyson is an accomplished environmental consultant and operations leader. She oversees financial performance, client development, staff engagement, and technical quality for the subregion, and drives the collaboration and alignment needed to achieve goals for the Great Basin, the west region, and OneSWCA.
Alyson joined SWCA in 2017 as Senior Project Manager in Salt Lake City, and subsequently became the Senior Natural Resources Program Director, where she led strategic growth, expanded her team, and diversified technical expertise in fire planning, ecological restoration, water resources, and hydropower. Her career has spanned diverse geographies, including south Florida, California, Nevada, the Great Plains, and the Great Basin.
Alyson holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Environmental Biology from Appalachian State University and is a recognized subject matter expert in landscape and restoration ecology. She is known for her empathetic, action-oriented leadership style, her ability to navigate complex challenges, and her commitment to fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance.
