Chicago Wins the 2025 Have a Heart Award
We are proud to announce that SWCA’s Chicago office has been named the 2025 Have a Heart Award winner.
Each year, this highly anticipated award recognizes the office that best exemplifies our Gives Back core value through volunteering, charitable giving, and meaningful community engagement. This year, Chicago truly stood out.
Chicago was the most active office in the company in 2025, with an incredible 82% employee participation rate in volunteer efforts—the highest percentage across all offices. Together, the team contributed 185 volunteer hours to local causes.
The office also led the way in environmental stewardship, hosting the most eco-focused initiatives and actively participating in both Earth Month and Plastic Free July. In total, Chicago organized 14 Gives Back events throughout the year.
One standout initiative was the SCARCE event, which counted as two impact efforts. Team members recycled plastic into guitar picks for one nonprofit and then donated those picks to a second nonprofit supporting veterans living with PTSD. This creative, community-centered approach perfectly reflects the spirit of the Have a Heart Award.
Between volunteer hours and charitable donations, Chicago’s total community impact reached $6,750 in 2025.
This achievement would not have been possible without strong leadership. A special recognition goes to Mikko Moy, Chicago’s Local Office Champion, whose dedication and passion were instrumental in driving the office’s success. Mikko’s commitment serves as an inspiration to Local Office Champions across the company.
“Chicago has some of the most compassionate and motivated people I have ever worked with. Their efforts in Gives Back events not only positively impact the communities we live in but strengthens our internal teamwork and collaboration with clients. This team coordinated so many diverse events, involving clients, partners, family, and friends. Truly embracing SWCA’s core values.” – Sarah Zink, Chicago Office Director
“As the local office Gives Back Champion, I may be the person to pull the strings to make these events happen, but the participation and excitement by our office made it all possible. We not only gave back to our communities, but we strengthened our OneSWCA relationships and grew closer together through these events. I’m incredibly proud of our office!” – Mikko Moy, Chicago Local Office Champion (LOC) and Operations Administrator.
