George Mekitarian Joins SWCA as Chief Financial Officer

George Mekitarian has joined SWCA as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, George will lead our finance, safety, and legal teams and serve as a key member of SWCA’s executive leadership team.

George is an accomplished finance executive and CPA with 30 years of experience leading financial strategy, operational excellence, and value creation in complex, project-based organizations. He brings deep professional services expertise from leadership roles at WSP and POWER Engineers, as well as earlier experience at General Atomics and Leidos/SAIC.

Throughout his career, George has strengthened forecast reliability and project financial discipline, improved working‑capital performance, and accelerated monthly close timelines. He also brings significant ERP leadership experience, with a focus on strong governance, adoption, and business transparency.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University.
