Jayme Fontenot Promoted to Director of Geospatial Sciences
Jayme Fontenot has been promoted to Director of Geospatial Sciences. In this role, Jayme will be responsible for leading and growing our enterprise-wide geospatial practice. She will collaborate closely with departments across the company to develop and implement geospatial standards, tools, and workflows that support the needs of the business.
Jayme is excited to partner with SWCA’s Science and Technical leaders to drive improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of geospatial project performance, data management, and client deliverables.
Jayme joined SWCA in 2012 with a Master of Science in Biology and a Spatial Information Systems Certificate from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over a decade of experience in geodatabase design, data analysis, cartography, and the full suite of ArcGIS tools.
With a knack for taming wild geodatabases, and a passion for helping your teams learn how to use an iPad, Jayme has led the charge on everything from onboarding the next generation of GIS pros to rolling out cutting-edge field data collection tools. Her collaborative leadership style has strengthened cross-departmental workflows and ensured that GIS support remains closely aligned with SWCA’s strategic goals.
