SWCA Environmental Consultants is pleased to announce it has acquired Terra Verde Environmental Consulting, an environmental consulting firm based in San Luis Obispo, California, that serves the energy, utility, and government sectors.

Founded in 2007, Terra Verde is well-respected in the industry for providing environmental consulting services to help clients in planning, permitting, and ensuring compliance of their projects. Areas of expertise include biological surveys and monitoring, ecological scent-detection dogs, habitat restoration, and environmental training, permitting, and compliance.

The addition of Terra Verde grows SWCA’s presence and natural resources services in central California and the surrounding region.

“Terra Verde’s dedication to high-quality environmental consulting services and commitment to giving back to their communities immediately stood out to me as a match,” said Joseph J. Fluder III, CEO and President of SWCA. “Terra Verde is a trusted partner to state and local agencies, and together, we’re excited to combine our expertise to continue supporting our clients in California and the surrounding region with their environmental challenges.”

“Terra Verde and SWCA are so well-aligned on our purpose and values that I can’t wait to see what we can do as a team to provide technically sound solutions and help our clients navigate regulatory requirements,” said Brooke Langle, Founder and CEO of Terra Verde Environmental Consulting. “Joining SWCA also opens doors for our people at Terra Verde as well as offers broader expertise and resources to our clients.”
