Description

SWCA is providing stakeholder engagement and community outreach support for the Scuppernong Regional Water Management Study in Washington and Tyrell Counties, North Carolina, on behalf of the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) and the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association (NERRA). This includes leading the development of an engagement strategy for the study and advising on, as well as supporting, the implementation of stakeholder collaboration and community outreach activities.

The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership is excited to announce that the Albemarle Commission, in collaboration with Washington and Tyrrell Counties, has joined forces with various organizations to conduct a comprehensive study on flooding in the northern Albemarle-Pamlico peninsula. This partnership with a diverse range of organizations brings together scientific expertise, local knowledge, and community engagement to ensure a well-rounded approach to this study. By combining resources and working closely with affected communities, this study aims to develop effective strategies for water management and flood prevention.
