Description

SWCA provided comprehensive environmental consulting services for a proposed transmission line project. The transmission line extended approximately 290 miles from Pueblo, Colorado, to Guymon, Oklahoma.

Our team conducted cultural resource surveys, including archaeological and built environment investigations; viewshed analyses; biological habitat, wetlands/waterbodies, and eagle and raptor nest surveys; and topsoil testing. Field personnel dug soil cores to identify topsoil salvage depths and collected samples for laboratory analysis.

SWCA also coordinated with more than 20 Native American Tribes participating in the project and facilitated a concurrent tribal resources survey with Tribal Cultural Specialists to identify significant tribal resources beyond traditional archaeological resources.
