The San Luis Obispo office was established in 2008 when SWCA acquired Morro Group, the longest-running environmental consulting firm on the Central Coast. The long-established staff of this office has a reputation for tackling complex EIR’s, assisting local agencies in all aspects of the CEQA and planning process, and offering both public and private sector clients biological and cultural resources survey, evaluation and permitting services.
Services of the office focus on the transportation, state and local, and water resources business lines. Service line specialties include preparation of road and bridge replacement local assistance environmental documents, full-spectrum environmental services on multiple on-call/master services agreements the office holds for community development and public works departments on the Central Coast and in the southern San Joaquin Valley. Notable projects include the Cal Poly Master Plan EIR, the District 5 Caltrans on-call for biological services, Bob Jones Bike and Pedestrian Path, and Dana Adobe, located in historic Nipomo.
