SWCA supported Equitrans, LP with environmental evaluation and permitting for repair activities along the federally regulated H‑147 natural gas pipeline in Greene County, Pennsylvania. The project involved environmental review and permitting for three anomaly dig locations within the existing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) right‑of‑way.
Working within the established pipeline corridor, SWCA evaluated environmental resources associated with the proposed dig sites and potential access routes. Field assessments included environmental delineations and resource reviews to identify wetlands, waterbodies, and other sensitive features that could influence construction planning or regulatory requirements.
SWCA coordinated with regulatory agencies and prepared permit applications necessary to support the planned pipeline maintenance activities. The work focused on ensuring the anomaly digs could proceed while maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state environmental regulations.
By providing targeted environmental field surveys, regulatory coordination, and permitting support, SWCA helped Equitrans efficiently advance critical pipeline integrity repairs while minimizing environmental impacts within the existing right‑of‑way.
