Sue Wilmot Promoted to Senior Project Management Technical Director

Sue Wilmot has been promoted to Senior Project Management Technical Director. In this role, Sue will lead and expand SWCA’s Project Management Ecosystem (PME), elevating the technical skills and expertise of more than 650 project managers and project controls specialists. She will partner with scientific and technical leadership, operations, and project controls managers to set the gold standard for project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance reporting across the company.

Sue joined SWCA in 2008 as an intern while completing her Ph.D. at Utah State University. Since then, she has grown into one of our most respected project leaders, managing $5M in contracts spanning renewable energy, NEPA compliance, and projects in every business line. She is a true innovator, known for streamlining and improving NEPA processes while ensuring compliance and exceeding client expectations.

Beyond her project work, Sue is a passionate advocate for PM training and development. She authored SWCA’s PM Guide and has been a cornerstone of the PME Initiative, creating impactful resources, training programs, and mentorship opportunities for PMs company wide. Her leadership and dedication were recently recognized when she earned the 2025 Q1 Chris Garrett Project Management Excellence Award.
