Dr. Steven W. Carothers is an aquatic and terrestrial biologist with more than 35 years of experience in ecological research, environmental regulatory compliance, and resource management. Steve has long served as a facilitator between the environmental regulatory structure and various kinds of resource use and management, both private and public. Steve has written or co-authored numerous books on the ecology of the Grand Canyon and is a respected expert on the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.
